Marechal Ney

Italian restaurant housed in the birth place of Marshal Ney. Poor chap hedged his bets and was finally executed..... Lunched on Saltimboccafor husband and Hausa. Scampiravioli for me. Followed by Tiramisu for himself and Mousse au Chocolate for me. Coffee completed our delicious meal. Good...service by pleasant waiters, fresh flowers on tables and proper cloth napkins lovely! Only downside was a regular couple where the wife smoked three cigarettes during their meal and unfortunately the smoke came my way as they were adjacent to us with dog. I know we are in the minority as non smokers and have to put up with it! Delightful meal though and well worth a visit

Historical place, good looking interior and rated among the best in Saarlouis on every website you look. Now the food is good. It is Italian, but not pure Italian, there are some German French influences there. It's not bad. The personnel is friendly, that's...not the problem, but it is like their fame dictates a certain attitude, a having to act like a bad French waiter. The use of French words, mixed in with the German. It could be very good, but somehow it feels wrong

We tried their prixfixe menu, which was good value for the money: seafood ravioli, filet mignon, and dessert. It cost a bit more than we usually like to spend, but it was delicious and worth the price. The decor theme, including lights with Ney's coat...of arms, centers on Napoleon's Marshal Michel Ney, who was born there

dinner on the terrasse , with a good italian rosé wine , and gambas in crème , and a dessert full of red fruits , what can you ask more

No fancy interior, rather classic but the food is very good, a lot of choice and also the service is good
