Today I am with my grandmother in the Manthaler, whom I have known for many years as a local. It was completely renovated among the new tenants and now looks really nice. So I really like it. And the cozy beer garden was completely re-equipped. Also funny are the hen and the gockel, which run around under the tables and are present. After a community of 12:00 the place was closed for a closed society. When we asked if we had something to eat in the beer garden, this was confirmed, but very happy that the operator wasn't me. She was also quite uncomfortable and then not really friendly. The food was okay, but didn't rip us off the chair. The place is certainly great to drink a beer in the evening and sit in peace, but if I will visit it as a pure place, I don't know yet.
We had ordered four fondues, my wife my children and me. Since I had lived in Switzerland for years and a well-known high-caliber cheese shop I appreciate a good fondue. HERE not even average, tasted like the discounter. When I was interested in the origins, the boss came personally, who is cook and hen owner at the same time. Before he went back to the kitchen, he held one of his free-running chickens from the restaurant.... A very unfriendly person. After we had paid with a very high tip, my son asked for a glass of water that he would have thirst (5 years old). A small glass of tap water he got... When we wanted to go, the inn demanded another 1.50 for the water. I gave her 2€ and she held the 50 cents as a tip. Never again.
On 23.06.15 4 people arrived at the Manthaler for dinner. The food was very good, a varied map fulfilled all requirements. The service was very friendly. Note: After leaving my glasses, after a brief friendly conversation with the host, I promised to send the glasses to Cologne, class.
After all, the restaurant has opened again! The inn was completely renovated and rebuilt. The guest room is original and very cozy. In beautiful weather you can also sit outside. The new hosts are very nice and the food tastes great. The prices are absolutely fair.
