Maharani Palace

Since i have been working in Durlach for many years, i went here many times for lunch, even though it is farther away from the office than almost all other restaurants in Durlach. This is the one we chose whenever we wanted something special of above-average quality.The menu and staff have remained virtually unchanged over many years, and so has the reliable, fine quality. A wide variety of styles is available, including more than a dozen vegetarian options. Lunch is really cheap; dinner is considerably more expensive, though not unreasonable given the quality.We also had food from The Maharani served as a buffet at the office for several special occasions, which was also always good, though obviously not quite as good as straight from the kitchen in the restaurant itself.

we were too hospitable with friends at the maharani palace. the service was friendly and attentive. the food was in order, but we already had better Indian food. first we had an appetizer plate, this was delicious. in my chicken tikka a part was not properly cooked. they were all a little too thin. the naan brot was dry. next time we would go to one of the other Indian restaurants in karlsruhe.

appetizer for 2 people too expensive, consisted predominantly of fried onion rings.Main dish lamb, lamb was not to taste, very sharply seasoned for this no balanced seasoning. 2 x a bottle of water ordered, 1 bottle ok, 2 bottle normal water. totally overheated local, no fresh air supply - never again

good Indian food to fair trips. the personal is very nice. eating is very fast at the table. also good as take-away. good choice.

have ordered a chicken curry with rice to take away, very tasty, finely spiced and well edifice. friendly staff.
