"Went to L'Oustalet after a tour of Chateau de Beaucastel, had the seasonal menu with wine pairing. The presence of our sommelier Hugo made the experience unique, his pairing was extraordinarily. The menu had excellent balance and flavors. Highly recommend this restaurant!"

My friend and I visited L'Oustalet as one stop on our road trip throughout Provence. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the three rooms offered, which gave us the opportunity to try both lunch and dinner at the restaurant. Both experiences were fantastic. We were greeted by an enthusiastic staff who made us feel welcome and who created a very casual environment despite the upscale nature of the food. We tried both sides of the menu - the a la carte experience for lunch and the tasting menu with wine pairings for dinner. My friend and I have very different tastes - she prefers fish, while I prefer red meat - but we were both very happy with the food. My friend was particularly excited to try the John Dory on the menu. The sommelier and maitre d'-in-training were both incredibly attentive, and the food was outstanding. Incredible experience all around!

This restaurant is absolutely perfect. The staff were wonderful - friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had driven to Gigondas for lunch and I was driving us back to our holiday house - so I asked the maitre d' if he could make me a long alcohol free cocktail - he said he would need to use his brain for this request - and his brain did not let him down! The food was fantastic - everything had a hidden taste to be found and savoured. The cheese was extraordinary - I love goats' cheese - so I was in heaven - three goats' cheeses: one a week old, one a month old and one a year old. Everything about this place was perfect - I cannot recommend it highly enough.

We went here for lunch and it really was excellent. The waiting staff were friendly and charming. The ambience was a lovely, relaxed, French chic. The food was exceptional and the extra little amuse bouche were wonderful. The wine list was extensive but with some really reasonably priced wines of excellent quality (so much so that we went to their "caveau" and bought a few bottles to take home!). Would definitely recommend this place for an excellent dining experience.

We had a wonderful meal at this lovely restaurant on a hot July evening. The food was exceptional and delicious - top-quality and beautifully presented. The wine list extensive and interesting - with both inexpensive and very expensive wines. The waiters (the owner) extremely attentive, friendly and made you feel welcome. We can highly recommend this restaurant.
