I used to frequent retro bakery before they moved locations, the cupcakes were large, rich and buttercream was amazing. For my birthday I decided to go to their new location in summerlin for some cupcakes as I haven't had them since they moved. I'm not sure what happened since the move, but they are not the same. They don't look or taste the way they once did. I noticed immediately they were much smaller which was fine because they are so delicious who cares, right? But even though they are considerably smaller the presentation just wasn't on point anymore, the flavors and buttercream wasn't either. Disappointed. I hope whatever retro changed, they fix. Sorry retro, the cupcakes in the pics are not up to standard.
I used to come here all the time and LOVED their massive cupcakes, with beautiful frosting. I was so disappointed how small and measly they look now. The flavor is still good but not great as I remembered. We also ordered just a plain old birthday cake which is basically what we got. Again, the flavor was good but not what it was. The frosting on the cake was a lot better than the cupcakes. I've seen their custom cakes and they do look very good, maybe I should have gone with that. The cake was ready right on time so that's always a plus
Retro Bakery went above and beyond our expectations. I sent them a photo of what was wanted and they made it look even better! Taste was delicious. Pain free process and friendly customer service!
