it was the 4th juli and none of us wanted to cook. it was not very crowded around 17.30 clock, as most people celebrated at home or friends house. our waitress was quick to imagine and take our drink order. while I have penetrated the design of the beer selection, my wife slipped in the appetizer order of wild west shrimp. the appetizer and the brot could have eaten themselves. the wild west shrimp was good and had a small kick with it because of the paprika. my entrée was the cowboy cops with a side of applewood smoked speck mac cheese and sautéed mushrooms. my wife ordered the flo petite filet 6oz well made with a float and pommes. the petite filet was actually well cooked. kudos to the chefs, because not everyone understands the meaning of well done. my pork chops were perfectly cooked and a generous portion of Mac cheese and sautéed mushrooms. even if we were full of dinner, our waitress did not ask us if we wanted to dessert or suggest something from the Dessert menu. we didn't even refill our soda and I was not asked if I wanted another beer. Apart from these two small things, we will try something else from their menu. hopefully, the next server will be more attentive with the drinks and offer dessert options.

The steak, potato and bread were excellent on my visit today but what caused me to post this review and take away points was my bartender/server. It took forever to get my first drink and menu. It seemed that whatever she was doing on her phone was more important than a paying customer. She eventually brought me my drink and some bread but never brought the extra butter that was requested. Eventually, she asked for my lunch order. The food arrived promptly and was perfectly cooked. By then (about 45 mins later), I was ready to order another drink. I finally managed to get the attention of the bartender as she looked up from her phone and got my drink. Like I said, the food was good but the customer service was lacking today. The bartender/server's phone was more important than me and when she did interact with me she really made me feel if I was just a nuisance and not important. I'm really low key and low maintenance and, generally, cut servers some slack but today was over the top. Longhorn, you can do better when it comes to customer facing employees. Don't let them use their phones while at work. Require them to provide good customer service.

The manager at Longhorn in Hoover is very impersonal and disconnected from the customers. I reserved a table on their website and was told that the wait is 40- 50 minutes. Which is fine. When I arrive to check in, before I can even get out that I made a reservation online the manager proceed to tell me that it will be an hour to an hour and 15 minute wait. I then explain that I made reservations online and you dismissed that to repeat the same thing to me. He wasn’t actively listening he was only listening to respond. He told me that online isn’t accurate and this is a busy time. Granted I get that but his dismissive behavior is unacceptable. Since I’m being treated to dinner I stayed, only to not have to wait that long. This man is ruining the atmosphere of this restaurant with his attitude. Longhorn Corporate I suggest that you all invest in leadership training for Mr. Graham. If the customers feel this way I can only imagine what the employees are experiencing. The food and staff were great.

Called to make a reservation for a small party for a 70th birthday dinner. I was informed that I can't do a reservations on the weekends because is it first come first serve. That's very absurd considering people usually have gatherings at restaurants on weekends. The manager was short and was cutting me off before I could even finish talking. I called the 280 location and was accommodated right away. Do better.
