L'Esprit du Sud

the weinlokal is a bit hidden and can be reached by means of a stone staircase from the road. first you come to a small farm where there are some tables. then you come into a beautiful cave with vault and a pretty uneven floor. it has a small but fine selection of wines, especially rosé wines. for eating there are cold plates or sandwiches. jordan, the host, is very interested in his guests. you feel comfortable right away. the music selection is very good and sometimes not too loud.

Stopped by this beautiful wine bar a couple of times during our week long stay in Bonnieux. We enjoyed sampling the very nice selection of local rose wines and also enjoyed getting to know Jordan the owner. I would highly recommend stopping by when in town for a glass of wine or two!

real wine cellar in the top of the village of good wines and good advice! I'll do it again!
