I visited this restaurant 2 or 3 times a few years ago and it was unequivocally good eating in a really good atmosphere. imagine my disappointment in the other week that it was renovated like any other anodyne restaurant (which I have forgiven)...and that eating is bland, bland, bland, bland that I cannot overlook? a precursor of aubergines, tomatoes and mozzarella was completely without season and my chicken balloon came out of a bed of soggy, tasteless dayly. there was an urgent lack of veg or salat with one of the most important courses and three of us said that the best general judgment could be bordering in average oh, and they lost our booking despite 3 emails and 2 phone calls.
I and my wife visited paris in the april, and during the exploration of the belleville and ménilmontant area we stopped for lunch. the restaurant was very busy and the waitress explained that there was a long waiting period. that was not a problem after walking around the cemetery of Pere...lachaise for a few hours. eating was excellent and waiting was nice sitting and watching the real paris road life over.
Very welcoming place. Food is home and very affordable. And the service is great. I recommend a 100% Thanks Anis
fantastic meal in ménilmontant! not to eat before you go. and go home to burn it!
