I chose a hotel in Neufchatel en Bray based on the fact that it had a restaurant. Strangely enough it turned out to be closed on Friday & Saturday......I asked for a recommendation from the proprieteaire and she gave me a few including the Grignotte and St Pierre but I chose the Terroirs and I am so pleased that I did. This ideal bar/restaurant place has freshly cooked, locally sourced ingredients (even the salad garnish afterthought was delicious). There were still 3 "menus du jour" at 9 o'clock starting from 14.99 euros. I noted the excellent portions that the other 3 diners received, but I had already opted for the special which was a 4 course monster at 24.99 euros - the Ficelle Picard (crepe as canneloni), rump steak and neufchatel sauce with genuinely home-made French fries, local cheeses and sorbet (okay, not so local perhaps). Leffe beer on tap and beaujolais nouveau........service was attentive, but not intrusive. I loved it. The best in un-fussy French (Norman) food.
