Having received some publicity to say this restaurant was now under new management, and because it is within walking distance from our home, we thought we’d give it a try. We visited on a cold Saturday evening in December. We were the only people in the restaurant for dinner at 7.30pm. The restaurant was a bit chilly but just as I was commenting on this the manager appeared and put on a patio heater close to our table. We a ordered the menu du jour 3 courses at €15.50 pp. We ordered a bottle of wine, a nice Sablet at €22. The Bergerac we usually drink was out of stock. The wine was good. We were served some cold meats to start with followed by a delicious soup. Both of which were a pleasant and unexpected addition to the advertised menu. For the first course we had pate de campagne followed by kidneys in a delicious sauce with fries and an Algerian sauce. Other kinds of sauces were available. For dessert one of us had a fruit salad and I had faisselle with a caramel sauce. Coffee was offered and the bill arrived when asked for accompanied by some baby meringues. We hope that locals will give this restaurant a try as we think the service was good and it represents good value for money.
