Really disappointed with our meal here. We perhaps should have known from the start, when we revived a rather frosty welcome from the waitress (who was possibly the manager? She shrugged when asked if we could put our wet coats somewhere, and was abrupt and not particularly helpful when we asked about the menu. She looked like she’d rather be anywhere than serving us! The food wasn’t great. The two burgers were ok, the udon noodle portion was so small that my son ate again when we got home and my risotto was also really small, barely warm and had no flavour. So not great. There was an extraordinary moment when we asked for more ketchup as three of our group had chips and we knew the one tiny pot of ketchup we’d been given wasn’t going to last two minutes. We were told no as they threw so much away but when we’d finished our tiny pot they’d give us more! I’m all for reducing waste but this was ridiculous. Anyway, 2 minutes later when it had all gone, I asked for more, and she asked to see my empty pot as if having to prove we really had finished it. Seriously??!! She then huffed off to get us another (tiny pot. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. And we most definitely won’t be going back. There is better food and much better service elsewhere.
We were a party of 12 and the restaurant whilst not large sat us in a little room just off the main restaurant with 1 other party . Service was good and we were served fairly quickly . The traditional french meals were good Traiflette Croxiflette ..very tasty and filling . The cooked meats and cheese board could have been enough for 2 people not 1 !!. Great selection . Burgers were popular and they looked really good . Would be great in the summer or on hot spring day as there was a fairly large seating area to eat out in we couldnt as it there was heavy snow when we were there March 23
We had both lunch and dinner at Les Planches during our holiday. Lunch was had on the fabulous sunny terrace. We had the bruschetta and the club sandwich all delicious and huge portions. Dinner was also nice Udon noodles with gambas. Both times the service was very good. This restaurant offers an alternative menu to the usual Savoyard fare found in Tignes.
Very good cocktails here. We also had some snacks which were fantastic and excellent value. The evening restaurant menu is a little more fancy and also a bit more expensive. Staff are friendly and the setting and views are fantastic. We really like it here.
