What has happened to this place? It used to be okay. We reserved a table (asked to leave early because of additional sitting in the pm) and ordered fondue terrible, separated and globular. All three. The children couldn’t eat theirs because of the texture. Bread came uncut in a basket and we had to keep ordering more why not just bring out enough bread for three fondues? The salads du Ruvine is good the only good thing on the menu. Children’s meals are rubbish nuggets or spaghetti...truly not a good restaurant with poor service and inedible food. Great view.
We have eaten here regularly every summer and winter for many years. In the winter it’s fine as the self service is efficient and friendly. But in the summer you can only have waitress service and every year you are faced with the same unfriendly waitress who has a huge chip on her shoulder and it really pains her to be warm and friendly. This year my husband happened to mention that the bread was a bit dry and her answer was C’est come ca. Que’ce que vous Voulez? she said this so harshly that it really put us off our food and we vowed never to return!
I have been here on numerous occasions as it is a super location with wonderful views but my daughters French fries were “disgusting” ……… I imagine the oil had aged badly. Staff were friendly, attentive but disinterested! My Renverse(sp) and her chocolate chaud, both machine made were acceptable and since we made them ourselves were reasonable value for the location
After a great hike with our dogs, we stopped at Les Mazots and enjoyed the best home made Boeuf Tartar with all the trimmings. The tartar is prepared at the table (including the fine cutting of the beef) and is served with toast/superb Pommes frites and a fresh mixed salade . A red Yvorne complimented our main dish.
