This is a well-run fast service restaurant that is reliably fast with evenly good food at a decent price. I'm a LeeAnn Chin fan, since 20 years ago I visited one of their first locations on Hennepin Ave. The business model is simple: Super fresh Asian entrees served in a clean, tastefully decorated environment. It worked then, and it still works today in Savage, Minnesota. This special restaurant is well managed and efficient. The staff is focused and working hard to provide its customers quickly and with minimal effort. You don't see how employees stand around and stare at their phones or how boring pre-tens behind the counter. The Entrees often turn around, so you always get very fresh main dishes the appetizers, not so much. Especially the oyster wings always seem like they could have been sitting around for a while. Some of the entrees are better than others. Beef dishes tend to find less quality cuts of meat, and it is not unusual to chew yourself a little gristle y and unpleasant. The chicken eaters are significantly better in quality, perhaps because they use a higher meat quality than the starting point. Most ducks are in meatless versions, but you need a special request. However, since vegetarian ducks are made to order, they are fresh directly from the kitchen. What makes LeeAnn Chin's food really extraordinary is the sauces. The aromas are clear, robust and authentic. This is not Panda Express where every sauce tastes like any other sauce and basically seems to be a thin brownish engraving with only small variations between styles. At LeeAnn Chin, the sauces are thick and the flavors are intense. If you are through Asian cuisine that tastes like it from Asia, maybe you should eat somewhere else. The lower line is that, unlike most other fast service restaurants in this area, LeeAnn Chin rarely disappoints. The staff is attentive, the service is fast, and the entire restaurant has the mood of a very slick, well managed operation.
