"We were lucky to find this open on a Sunday night. Our meal was nice and the portions very generous, we both had chicken dishes which were very tender and accompanied by nice sauces. Not fine dining but very acceptable. House wine was good as was the coffee. Staff were very pleasant and it is obviously popular as there were quite a few local customers in there too"

We went to Le Yeti on the recommendation of our hotel, which had no restaurant. There was limited choice near where we were staying and it was our first time in Vierzon, but I think we struck lucky with Le Yeti. It specialises in Savoyard cuisine, (slightly strange, given its location), and also serves savoury crepes, steaks and other grill items and salads. One of our party had the steak tartare which came with salad and a generous portion of chips and two of us opted for a savoury crepe. Mine was on off-menu order of mushrooms and cheese and came with a lovely fresh salad. The portions were generous and I was not able to finish mine, even though it was delicious. Bizarrely, the condiments that were delivered to the table to mix into the steak tartare included HP sauce - not something that generally features in the tartare mix! The service was prompt and efficient, even when the restaurant became pretty busy about an hour after we arrived. The Leffe beers were a popular choice among diners, but I chose the house rose, which was perfectly acceptable. I would very happily eat at Le Yeti again.
