One of the best, classic and authentic Indian restaurants still makes our curry dreams come true in Melbourne. @letajmelbourne specializes in the truest aromas of Indian curries, and Tandoori meat here in the heart of Melbourne What we had here: Le Taj Tandoori platter, all in this spread is exceptionally tasty, has the perfect balance of smokiness and wort, juicy, delicate meat from chicken to lamb kebabs and tikkas. Must try. Le Taj Special Lamb Bhuna Kadhai Wala, absolutely grumpy, full of rich aromas and truly divine. They lose themselves in their irresistible taste. Very recommended. Mother Paneer, a beautiful and classic windshield that is perfect for cold winter nights. So satisfying, slightly spicy but very tasteful. Perfect to eat this curry with a naan garlic and cheese naan, so perfect flaky, soft, yummy Indian flat bread. Chicken Mughlai Biriyani, again very classic, tasted so real, delightful aromas, with juicy tender chicken. Must try. We had our with a glass of mosquito and a rose, and both were very good, went so well with our food. For desserts, we tried the Nutella naan, it is something really unique and the Nutella taste is not too overwhelming in this, tasted more like a regular Naan with a hint of Nutella. That was okay with me. Wouldn't recommend it. The mood here is very stylish and really a best place to have a celebrity dinner/lunch with your Fam. Or even perfect for date night because of the atmospheric and charming ambience. The prices are standard and the service is friendly and attentive. Came here to try Melbourne's hottest curry. I had it naan with a garlic that was amazing. The mutton in the curry was delicate and tasty. The curry was certainly hot, but it still had an amazing taste. It's not the strongest food I ever had, but it's a nice meal on a cold day. It wasn't too expensive for everything I had. The staff was nice and the restaurant had a nice cozy atmosphere. Overall, I would say it is a pretty good place to go have authentic Indian food and I will certainly go back.

Le Taj is such a great restaurant with beautiful decor, an authentic menu and exceptional food. We had a few of the Curries, Samosas and Chickentikka, who all saw and tasted beautiful. The curries burst with taste and I recommend each of these dishes as they were all so delicious. Everything was so great, service was good too! A must to visit when you think of a visit.

Nothing better than a hearty Indian feast in these cold winter days. Here you can enjoy rich and delicious curries, aromatic grilled meat and seafood, and of course crispy and flocky naan. The curries are tasteful and the meat and seafood are beautifully cooked. Amazing aromas rich, ready for a gastronomic experience here!

Walked in & was very quiet, initially was a little worried - a quiet restaurant isnt a good sign.
