We booked a table for 9 in this beautiful little restaurant. The staff spoke very little English, but were so welcoming and cheerful to have us. There was a man who talked with a guitar and singed what was really good, all the locals enjoy the music... and food really made it a special and good night, even if we got a bit loud, they treated us as locals who brought us to dance. The food was amazing, we started with the camembert,for2, which was delicious and served really elegant. For most of us the tuna had, what can I say, I never had tuna so delicious with the most delicious dressing. Dessert was Brioche bread pudding that was too big to finish. Together with our meals we ordered a lot of wine and beer and a spirit to finish the meal. The owner gave us kindly the beer and spirit on the house I would definitely recommend this small place and we will be back next year
Having arrived in Carqueiranne after a long drive from Nice we were looking for an early dinner. Everyone was still closed at 6:45,, but the charming server at Le Salon agreed to serve us even though she was still setting up for dinner. The warm melted Camembert with ham and French bread was a wonderful treat and great way to start off the evening. The risotto with scallops and the beef in a pastry were amazing main dishes. No room for dessert, but wish we had been able to try something. Very nice ambiance, delicious food, and a charming server made this a wonderful first night in the village of Carqueiranne .
