We live quite close - for years St Martin has needed a restaurant like this. There's always a warm welcome - we have never been disappointed. In summer sitting outside on the terrace could not be more "French" with the marie opposite and the fountain in flower. in winter its warm and cosy and the menu reflects winter tastes. Between the excellent value menu 'ardoise' and the slightly more expensive, but wider choice a la carte, there's something for all occasions. This is just a great little restaurant if you happen to pass by our lovely village.
My family and I came upon this restaurant from the church. I had looked it up on Trip advisor and then promptly left the address at home! It did not disappoint. We hadn't booked for lunch but fortunately, there was enough room for us (x 4).The proprietor kindly explained all the dishes and the menu. The food was of a very high quality and beautifully presented. We sat outside in fabulous April sunshine and watched two large tables of local people celebrating a birthday. Great ambiance, great location and fabulous food.
I eated as antree une salade anec de beuf,fish and pankake with ice cream as desert.The terrace was near a piazeta with flowers.The menu was with wine -the white house wine was great-arround 40 euros.I liked the water distributed in recipients situated on a white lamp.I did,nt like the unsex toilet-it was very clean but small.
We happened on Le Saint Martin at the end of a walk, hot and hungry and late. Our reception was warm and friendly and the food on the set menu was fresh, accurately cooked and well presented. It was good enough that we chose another walk in the same area later in the week to allow us a second bite. Excellent value for money.
