My wife and I went to this restaurant on a Sunday evening and we were greated by the most impolite, grumpy, indiscrete man ever. We were told later, that he is the owner of the restaurant. He is an old (over 80) dictatorial patriarchal man. He treats his staff badly and shows no respect for his customers. When we arrived, the restaurant was empty. He started asking us in what hotel we were staying, which I refused to say. He explained that he only accepts guests from certain hotels in the neighbourhood. We decided to leave feeling very insulted. The couple arriving just behind us were send away with a similar impolite tone. We informed with people in the neighbourhood and were told that this owner has quite the bad reputation. He is trying to sell his run down restaurant since 20 years, has never done any upgrade to it and is asking a fortune for the place. His bad temper reflects on the atmosphere in the place: cold and stuffy. His staff seemed very friendly, though.

The €45 Menu gave me a delicious cold Red Mullet with Tapenade on Toast, a very goof Magret de Canard with purées of potato, carrot, cauliflower and broccoli which were an absolute revelation, a plate of cheese and a fragrant Pear and Almond Tart. Really, really excellent and accurate cooking! A bottle of Sancerre Rosé came in at just €32, so I couldn't resist the temptation to accompany my coffee with a large glass of Eau de Vie de Framboise! Perfect!

HiStayed here one night, too expensive for what it is. Room furniture was really old and tatty. Views are great but again it's expensive for what's on offer. Did not have dinner here as was £38 per person and same for breakfast £26 for two of us. The room really needs updating and it's a shame as it's in a lovely location. Needs improvement Better hotels nearby to try.

Close to the riverside - very nice view over the Loiret with beautiful houses and gardens. We were on the terrace. If inside, the dining room is also very nice with a view over the Loiret as well.Great food (foie gras, Turbot fish, dessert with chocolate) - Great wine with a large choice. Great service.
