Staying at the Hotel An San Suci nearby, we wanted a decent meal without driving, so thought we would give this place a try. From the moment we walked through the door we could not have been made more welcome! We had our little dog with us, and the owner ? made an enormous fuss over her, and showed us to our table. Really basic- no table cloths here- but immaculately clean! Bottle of house wine un-labeled and water already on table. Help yourself entres to start with. More than acceptable quality. Then basic home cooking- choice if chicken or pork!! We went for the pork- fabulous. Next the cheeseboard. Or rather plate . Basically a plate and a knife and a choice of four fabulous local? cheeses. Help yourself so unlimited! Needed a second bottle of plonk obviously! Then deserts. We were full, so shared a home-made chocolate mousse. Not perfect, but better than supermarket fodder. Offered coffee but we declined. Total bill: €26 for two! If you don 't mind this kind of eatery, and are looking for friendly honest value for money en route to somewhere, then I can highly recommend this place to anyone.
Very good value for money, a canteen kitchen without chichi but very good and generous. The reception is very friendly.
A nice, simple old road. Nothing extraordinary but ratio quality price all made correct
