Le Petit Flaubert

Unless you enjoy lots of fat and gristle on a cold plate I recommend you not to go for the entrecote. It is certainly not worth the 22€ given it is served with a tasteless baked potato and just green salad. The silly Laguiole steak knife could not deal with the fat and gristle which, together with a cold plate made for a less than enjoyable experience. As follow up I had a Plat de fromages which was not better. Suspisciouly looking like the local hypermarché's 'offre speciale' it did no justice to the magnificence of Norman cheese. Positive points: speed of service was not to be faulted. The music was a tad too loud, but interesting (Jazz). The bread was fresh and delicious. In fact it was the best part of the meal, along with the café. Stick to the galettes and you may fair better.

One of those high quality family restaurants where they truly care about quality of food and time their customers experience. I think it is impossible to be disappointed with this place because everything is filled with care. Food is delicious especially crepes, for example pepper/beef or scallop ones. Service is just beyond friendly.After my 4 lunches there, I will really miss this place!!!!

This is a place that manages to turn galettes into haute-cuisine with really imaginative fillings and high quality ingredients. The ambiance is tasteful, the welcome warm and the service very professional. It's not the cheapest place but, given the consistently high quality you'd expect to pay more, hence excellent value.

What I most recall of Petit Flaubert is the warmth and kindness of staff and owner, despite my terrible french. I enjoyed the food very much.
