the couple that leads this hotel and restaurant could not be polite. madam speaks excellent English and has looked after me and my man very well. you man is a great cook and I would go so far that it was one of the best meal times we ever had during our visits in France. the hotel is ideal with very comfortable rooms and perfect for a first stop to eurotunnel. it was so good that we book again for our return to the usa from Spain. Usually we find many French and Spanish hotels prefer hard to bet, not in le petit coq and as older couple we were very grateful for the best nights in sleep. madam keeps the whole hotel in perfect condition and was graceful to show us different rooms and help us choose the space for our return trip. the evening meal was wonderful, very French, but for other European taste. we loved everything. during this covid time when traveling can be stressful, especially in our old, we could not have found a better place to stay. this hotel was a real fund in an undetected against many thanks, woman for everything they have done for us.
Not the first time that I go to this place. Owners have significantly invested to redesign rooms which are now very comfortable and moderns. The restaurant is always improving. A clear goal to overpass the clients expectations. The service is top class , always looking...at your satisfaction and anticipating your best wishes. I recommend the menus prepared by the chef. It’s the best way to enjoy the sincere house objective to offer the best of their talents. Take time to drive to this country -side place. A pleasure for your eye, body and heart.
really disappointed. starter ok, main was filet of bark meat and the nerves was not removed, so not properly prepared. everything under seasoned apart from the Choux bakery that was definitiw salty and tasty. almost 300 euro for 4 of us. with reviews and the...fact it has a maître restaurateur review that does not correspond to food and service at all.
we were six for lunch today and enjoyed everything from the environment and atmosphere to the gourmet kitchen. the menu at 32 euro was excellent. we will return.
