This was a delight to find this restaurant on our doorstop. The restaurant was literally 2 mins walk in the small town in Burgundy. The restaurant is only small, and we were walk ins. Some couples later were turned away as max nos appear to be 30 or less. The food was very high quality traditional French fare.T he escargots, scaollops and chicken were all excellent. Meals were served with adequate time between courses. The cheese plate was outstanding. All up a real winner for the husband and wife team. Due to only two staff, the menu choice was limited, but with sufficient variety to cover most tastes.Will definitely return.
We wanted to go somewhere with traditional Burgoyne food and the reviews led us here. Thank you! Delicious beef bourguignon , the chicken was delicious, as were the crepes. I'd never had Kir and that was really good. Excellent service and careful recommendation of a wine to our taste that I'd never tried. I laughed with the owner that next time we are here her husband must teach me to make his beef bourguignon and she agreed. I will hold her to it! We shall definitely return.
We had dinner here at our last night in Puligny-Montrachet and were not disappointed - although the menu is short it is very good quality food. I hate to say this but after nearly two weeks in this region my husband and myself fancied drinking some beer rather than wine that night and the restaurant has a good selection, many we had never heard of before. I had the lamb, husband had the beef, some cheese and sorbet followed. All in all an enjoyable meal.
We arrived into town a bit earlier than we expected and were pleased to find Le Pelugney open and they had time and space for us! A delightful place owned by a husband and wife team - wonderful food! We shared an appetizer and then had 4 terrific dishes - so delicious! Would highly recommend - also a very tiny place so if you have a larger group you may want to rsvp! We will be back!
