My self and my partner had an incredible stay in Moulin de Lavon. Hosts Gilles and Isabelle were incredibly welcoming, the property and rooms are beautiful and the property is picturesque. The service was impeccable. But above all, the evening was 4 course meal, with ingredients completely local, with wine from the estate, was the only best culinary experience we had during our vacation. Gilles' devotion to his craft is obvious as he daily has a new set menu based on what is in the season. All this for a very reasonable price. To finish everything, a double rainbow appeared at the end of the meal (what crazy luck.) A beautiful and quiet place to stay, not to release a can if you plan to stay in the Luberon.
3 stars for price/quality ratio. However, I am not very convinced. The lady who welcomes us was very cold. She told us that we would have the explanations on the region tomorrow at breakfast, etc. but nothing at all. The walls of the house are very fine and you can hear the neighbors. The pictures are pretty but to look closer, the maintenance is really perfectible.
Owners are friendly and hospitable. The property is in a great central location for visiting the villages in the Luberon Valley. There’s a lovely garden, pool, ping pong table, and playground. I highly recommend doing the dinner. It’s a delicious 4-course meal for a great deal and it’s a great way to meet the other guests. Breakfast is delicious too.
Very friendly couple, good and hearty meals for a more than reasonable price. Wine is also good value for money. Make a reservation without hesitation. We'll go back as soon as we're in the area.
