We both had the €18 merveilles menu. Each course was delicious. The plat du jour had a choice of 3 and we had an excellent faux filet. For dessert (choice of two) we had the assiette gourmande panna cotta, small slice of fruit tart, ice cream, cream crème anglaise. The drinks were reasonably priced. Service was good especially as it was busy. They do freshly prepared pizzas which were popular looked good. There were clearly many regulars but as tourists we also felt welcome.
This area of France was once Italy and you see the influence not only in the surnames of the local inhabitants but in the food as well. The menu is quite varied but we were very much in the mood for pizza and we were not disappointed. Mine was a special with lamb (which had been cooked on a skewer) as a topping. The porch is very pleasant place to eat and the staff was attentive and friendly.
After a magnificent bus trip up into the mountains via Italy, what a delight to find a restaurant that servered great lunches. In the mountain atmosphere it was lovely to relax and enjoy a salad of duck and Salmon and at a reasonable price.Definately a place to return to.
The owners are nice and welcoming, the food is reasonably priced and the chef makes a nice effort to present the dishes well. The pizzas are thin crust. I would definitely go back.
