we booked in advance by the states and we were happy to eat here at our last night in sarlat. the kitchen seemed overwhelmed by two large tour groups and not enough waiting staff. despite the order for them, we were later told that the kitchen had not the time to prepare their presented menu item of their multi course black truffle centered dinner. beautiful environment and beautiful terrace. we had a disappointing experience and will not be back.
eating was very inventive, with traditional perigourdaise ingredients combined with unusual combinations. the presentation was great and the service was excellent. Moreover, the location is absolutely fabulous with incredible views from the terrace.
We were expecting a very high class restaurant but the wine was served in a plastic bag, which was very disappointing, the sashimi had bones in it, but the steak Wes delicious!
a great experience. very spacious dining area, food was excellent quality, service was great. we will definitely return.
