"We were surprised to come across this restaurant in an industrial estate but satnav said it was there and we carried on until we found it, though as the golden arches of MacDonalds appeared on the horizon we thought that was where we were bound. We had not reserved a table but were welcomed warmly and attended to quickly, the menu was fairly broad and mid priced but essentially "French" in an informal but attractive setting. We all enjoyed our meals and would have returned had we had enough days left on our holiday in this beautiful region of France."

Dear Mr. M Labessede,On the 17th of March 2015 we stayed at your hotel Le Mas de Gaujac in Corbieres. You had one male employee working on the reception desk and serving dinner. My wife advised him that we were vegetarians and what could we have for dinner. She asked, "May we have an omelette?". "No". "May we have vegetables and a cheese plate?". "No". He then made fun of her French and he continued to be extremely rude. He then walked off to the kitchen. He returned about five minutes later and said "Well, what do you want ?" My wife advised him that we thought that he had gone to the kitchen to see what we could have have. He said,"Look at the menu, that's what we have".We eventually had soup and one glass of wine each!!He was so rude that a French family sitting at the next table apologized to us for his rudeness and said that they were sorry for how we were being treated. We are in our seventies and we have traveled to many parts of the world, but we have never, ever been treated so rudely. We did explain the situation to your female employee at the reception desk on the following day. She was most kind and sympathetic and gave to us a bottle of your local wine. She is an excellent employee. Please make sure that you keep her, but your male employee, he is not good for your business. Please advise us as to why your male employee treated us so badly?

The TripAdvisor ratings on this place are way off, and I'd be reviewing this at one star, but I believe many (like I) dismiss one-star reviews as being from some bitter customer with an axe to grind. I have no axe to grind, and the service was friendly enough. But once you pass through the glass doors (which are deceptively decorated with Michilen and TripAdvisor lodging stickers) and exit the decent lobby, you enter a stain-covered carpeted hall way and then rooms that you'd find in a bad second-world hotel. I can say the sheets and bathroom were clean, but that's about it. And it wasn't just my room, as I saw two rooms, as my buddy stayed in another room. At 75E/room/night, this place is overpriced. Loud and gross, you will want to put on shoes to go from the bed to the bathroom. We were unable to find other options around town as we arrived late at night and were forced to stay here. We honestly considered continuing down the road late at night, and the though of sleeping under the bridge doesn't sound half bad after staying here.

the TripAdvisor ratings on this place are far away, and I would check this on a star, but I think many (like me) have one-star ratings as grinding from a bitter customer with an axe. I have no ax to grind, and the service was friendly enough. but if they are decorated by the glass doors (which are decorated with mellows and tripadvisor, the stickers) and leave the decent lobby, they enter a stained carpet hall away and then rooms that they would find in a bad hotel in the second world. I can say the bed linen and the bathroom were clean, but that's it. and it wasn't just my room as I saw two rooms when my buddy stayed in another room. at 75E/room/night this place is overpriced. loud and rough, they want to put on shoes to go from bed to the bathroom. we were not able to find other possibilities in the city, how we arrived late in the night and had to stay here. we honestly thought we were going to continue the road late in the night, and that although that sleep under the bridge does not sound half bad after the stay here.
