For such a small place, Montsoreau has quite a few nice-looking cafes and restaurants, and this was a good place to stop for lunch on the way back from Saumur. The carafe of house rose wine that we had was pretty nice, and they had a good range of galettes and quiches that looked very nice. My chicken Caesar salad was good apart from the rather burnt rounds of bread that came with it, and they were perfectly happy to provide a box for my sister's pizza, which was too much for her to finish all at once as it was a generous size.
Quick, delicious, clean, great staff, perfect little lunch spot! We had the beef fillet with chips and salad and the goats cheese salad and it was all delicious, incredible chips! Lovely house wine, all served with a smile. The crepes look seriously good too, saw lots being served and will have one if we ever come back this way! Can recommend it as a lunch spot.
We ate here about six times during our holiday and each meal was of excellent quality and very good value for money. Service was always polite and very efficient. Great place for a light lunch.
8 of us called in for lunch. Nice table outside in the shade. Good menu for lunch, not expensive. Good food big portions. Nice servers.
