Looking for a post Christmas lunch not too far from the local train station might not be the best way to have a gourmet experience, but Le Gourmandin delivered in spades!!We were a table of five friends going our separate ways after celebrating Christmas together. Opting for the 31€ Menu du Marché we we all enjoyed four courses of absolute perfection. I started with the tricolour of fish and the others relished truffle scented gnocchi, after this came pigeon breast in a red wine jus, or, for me, a delectable plate of sole monkfish and limone. Highlight of the cheese menu were the tiny individual goat cheeses served melting hot in a warm bath of honey - how we all managed to follow with glorious desserts after this is truly remarkable. We left after shaking hands with the chef feeling truly "restored" by his wonderful food, but isn't this what restaurants should all be doing??

We had the Menu de Marche at 28 euros for four courses. Absolutely delicious, as always. In summer the outside terrace is beautiful with lots of flowers. Parking is difficult, it is better to park in the main square and walk. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Patrick the chef and his son Kevin, also a chef always have time for a friendly word. Well worth making a detour to eat in this brilliant restaurant.

We went to Le Gourmandin in June 2017 and had an excellent meal in the small square on a very warm June evening. The set menu is very good value for money-the service is efficient and attentive. We had the guinea fowl as main course which was extremely tasty. We would highly recommend this restaurant.Sam Leigh 1936London

One of the best restaurants which I have visited in the last few years. Traditional cuisine excellent service and great value for money. Whatever you order will be superb and with a great wine list. The menu de Marché at €31 is a bargain. Not the easiest place to find but well worth the effort!
