"We went here on our first evening. I have never had a pasta dish that was so tasteless, dry with no flavour. It was like eating just boiled pasta. My partner had steak which was tough and grisly. The first time I have ever refused to pay for my meal."

Salignac is a small village not too far from both Sarlat and Montignac. It doesn't have many restaurants but Le Duo is the best. You can eat inside in a very nice dining room or outside on a covered terrace. The menu is very good with both fixed price menus and a la carte. There is always a dish of the day and a very filling workman's menu. We have eaten here a few times in the past two years and we have never been disappointed. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. I'm looking forward to visiting again in September!

Came across this tucked away in Salignac while looking for somewhere to eat before heading back to the airport. What a pleasant surprise! We both opted for the Confit de Canard, a very common dish in the area but this was by far the best we'd tried. Although no longer hungry, the sight of some of the puddings coming out of the kitchen tempted us to sample a couple and we weren't disappointed. A simple restaurant but lovely food and good service.

Had a terrific dinner here. Food was great, service was great, space inside is lovely. Nice terrace dining also. Menu has all the local duck-based specialties, but a few other things for those who don't care to have duck. The menu lists all their local suppliers, which is nice. I had a delicious smoked trout salad and followed it with another trout dish. Both were delicious.

very good value quality price. we have the gourmet menu and it bears its name well. fries that accompany the dishes are super good prepared in duck fat. The gizzard salad is really good, the best so far for my little experience in perigord salad. The child menu is also very good because of quality. I strongly recommend.
