We were on a day trip out from Roscoff and found this gem in a guide book so took the off chance and drove over, found a nearby free parking space and went into a lovely old building where the owner greeted us and showed us into a wonderful dining room overlooking a pretty sheltered garden. The restaurant was empty but soon a few more diners arrived. We had probably one of our best ever meals in France and we have been dozens of times. The standard of service is five star. The choice on the set menu for 29 Euros is an absolute bargain. Imagine - a glass of champagne, a carafe of superb red wine, warm bread and excellent butter, still water, an amuse bouche of fresh salty cockles and warm cheese straws, a starter of veal tartare and another of poached eggs in a Bordelaise style sauce followed by 2 main courses of wonderfully cooked skate with buttered potatoes and vegetables followed by creme brulee and a nougatine ice cream and fruit - 68 euros total!!! Incredible. That is around £52.The restaurant is beautiful and in a medieval style and would be wonderful for a romantic dinner for two. The glasses, the tablecloths, the decoration - everything was clean and spotless. The owner was polite and courteous and our courses came at the right pace and not rushed. When we left we said to the owner that the standard was 5 stars and as we walked to the car we just said to ourselves - Perfect!Thank you for a really wonderful lunch - your restaurant is superb! We cant wait to go back!

We arrived in basketball jeans and thong shorts for my spouse. We were looking for a place to have dinner with our son. On Plougastel Daoulas apart from pizzas, kebab there is not too much choice.... When you push the door of this restaurant with these well-dressed white tablecloths and the person who welcomes you in a tie, we thought we would be turned away like at home in the south east... Well no ! Not only did we enjoy ourselves and we had a good time. The person serving us is the owner and has a nice sense of humor. For 2 adults and 1 child the bill was 81 euros. My son had a tomato salad as a starter with a delicious sauce, a butcher's burger and fries, a lovely ice cream for dessert. My spouse as a starter Fricassee of Flambéed Langoustine Tails, as a main course Fish Sauerkraut and dessert as he could, he took sorbet. For me, there is no starter because I have a small appetite, so the Duck Breast with Honey dish and the hot Apple Tart for dessert, Vanilla ice cream. With all that a bottle of white wine and coffee. We feasted. Restaurant to discover! Go there without hesitation!

A room with accents of the Middle Ages for the decoration which for once is quite original... But you have to like it. The menu is just as rustic and oriented meat and sea. The whole is hearty. The wine list is quite dusty without organic wine, too bad because the reviews were rather glowing.
