Average food, no good pastries and an extremely slow service. It's really a pity because the restaurant and the spot are picturesque. Also The seats are so uncomfortable. Especially when you have to wait literally one hour for your main dishes after they have picked up the starters plates. Unacceptable!
On the last night of our week in Gif we enjoyed an evening at Le Canapé. What a lovely way to end: great food, terrific service and a lovely atmosphere. To us Brits, it really did feel very French in the best possible way! If we were more local, we'd definitely be regulars.
Overall the meal was OK and the service friendly but the portions were not generous and the price was. Maybe this is just how France is now but £45 per head for a 2 course meal with a couple of glasses of wine seemed a bit steep.
This is a great place for a coffee, a beer or a full meal. Friendly helpful staff and a cool, laid back atmosphere. All good.
