The restaurant is on the cathedral square and looks directly onto the cathedral, the outside seating under old stone arches. we booked a table for Saturday lunch a wise move as Saturday is market day in Bazas and the restaurant gets busy. The staff were...friendly, helpful and made us feel at home. We chose the Bistrot menu, consisting of an entree and main. The entree was of good proportions, fresh and nicely arranged on the plate, not thrown on as in many restaurants. The popular main was Veal with a mushroom sauce , friture and vegetables. The veal was excellent on the rare side as it should be a generous portion, and the sauce was fantastic. The friture were home made, I think cooked in duck fat, crispy and not covered in oil wonderful. Bear was a glass for pression and a of the house red was Service and food was really very good, not hurried just relaxed. This restaurant is on our must go back list

Had luch here with our friends. Chose the lunch menu de jour, absolutely delicious, and good portion size and excellent value for money. My husband and I had the local beef steak, highly recommended and cooked to perfection. Lovely view of the square and Bazas...Cathedral

Very well located, the view cannot be beaten, through the market-place and up to the cathedral. Food was just ok, salad uninspired but meat well-cooked. Desserts were the highlight of the meal. A little pricy for what we had

The food is local, simple, with good portions size. It is not the most refined cuisine but quite satisfying for the one with a big appetite. It is facing the Bazas cathedral
