Le Bistro du Marin

This little place is something you don't want to miss out on. Already when we arrived we just knew by the way the restaurant looked from the outside that it was going to be a hit on the inside! The interior didn't disappoint, just a...warm feeling all over you know : Great and friendly service combined with very reasonable prices for honest, simple but just about the BEST fish and chips I have ever eaten! I had the cajun style which was to die for and my wife had the regular which was equally lovely. We had ours with a great bottle of cidre fermier brut, which had a great smokey flavor to it. Afterwards desserts: For me the cheesecake and for my love the crème brulée. Very nice as well :

Really lovely little restaurant just by the seaside. Eye catching décor with polite and helpful staff. Quite small menu but they always have some interesting options on the specials board. We usually go for the fish and chips, their Cajun batter is delicious. Portions seem...to have gotten smaller recently and I found a bug in my salad last time we were there but you have to just shrug it off sometimes. These things happen. Would recommend it if you're missing the UK, but don't expect mushy peas.

We came across this restaurant purely by chance as it was our first time in Saint Brieuc. I am so glad we did. Myself and my husband both had the traditional fish and chips and I can honestly say I have never tasted fish like...it before and it was absolutely delicious. The batter was light and the fish was cooked to perfection. We will most definitely be back in the future.

Right by the roadside, wonderfully friendly staff serving stunningly simple fish chips best we’ve had in a long time. Fantastic food.
