"This is a high-class restaurant that produces carefully crafted dishes and features an excellent wine list (of course we took wines from the region). Very friendly service. Beautiful views of the river. On a warm summer evening, things don't really get better anymore."

Yesterday we had an amazing dinner with our family in this beautiful restaurant. You have a great view on the Saône and the lights are reflected in the river, very romantic! But the best thing is the way you are treated here, like a queen or a king or a crown prince or princess - We had two little boys with us who also enjoyed their plates -! The food is delicious, the wine wonderful, the staff passionate about their job. And you have great value for your money because every detail is attended to. I highly recommend this restaurant. Such a pity it is 700 km from home, otherwise we would be back much more sooner.... But trully devine meals you have to long for and then afterwards cherish every minute of all those dazzling flavours!

They offer 2 menus, the more elaborate one at €42 for starter, main, cheese and dessert. All the classics are on offer: foie gras, snails, beef fillet, sweetbread, grenouilles. The frogs are served as main course, and it's not only the legs, but the whole frogs without the head. The taste is good, yet it involves many small bones, so I would go for the beef next time.Service is very friendly and professional. For the quality offered, the prices are adequate.

My husband and I stopped in Macon overnight on our drive through France and were delighted to find this lovely restaurant across the river from our hotel (Best Western, Macon, reviewed elsewhere). It was a ten minute walk via the lovely bridge and the food was superb, the wine even better (try the sugar free champagne, we didn't think that was even possible!) and our host most welcoming. Highly recommended for fine dining.

There are 4 or 5 restaurants just across the river from Maco but this was the only one of 3 recommened when we were here,Smart ambience ,efficient but not particularly warm s=ervice and a reasonable meal from the limited choice Menu du jour.perfectly scceptable but nothing to make a return visit a priority.
