L'Auberge des Balcons

Myself and friends were staying at les balcons and had our half board at the restaurant nearby. We absolutely loved the food, the set menu every evening was lovely with a lot of variety and the staff were so kind and friendly. They really...went above and beyond! We arrived late on the first day due to a delayed flight and although the kitchen was closed they gave us loads of bread, cheese, and cold meats to takeaway and offered us a lunch in exchange on our last day. Thoroughly recommended!

The waitresses at L'Auberge provided excellent service with a smile throughout the week we stayed in Val Thorens. Special shout out to Karine, who runs a tight ship with her team, and was also good banter. As for the food, it was always very good...quality. The raclette and fondue nights were especially good. The breakfast can get a bit tiring after having ham and cheese baguettes every morning, and the scrambled eggs were often lukewarm to cold. Aside from that, still good.

We stayed in Les Balcons for a week and this was where we got our evening meals. Well it is the best food I have had on a week skiing in a package deal, fondue, tartiflette, steak all part of the standard menu we received...along with a bottle of house wine each night. They looked after us and the children brilliantly and we want to go back with this being one of the key reasons!

We visited as a group of and had fondue, noodles and a few bottles of red. The service was great, choice of food suited the group and the wines were all delicious. Would recommend as an alternative to chalet foods if you're staying in...the area.

I come here every year and will continue to do so for good reason. The food is great and the service matches. The menu is vaired so everyone can find something to eat but their fondu is the best!
