las palmas (food truck) has the best Cuban sandwich in tampa, period! I ordered a few today and couldn't be happier. they are extremely tasteful; the prizes are reasonable, and the owner could not be a nice guy! the sandwiches are very large. I could just eat half of a one at a session. I also ordered the black beans and yellow rice for a separate next dish, and they were incredible! the best thing I had since I can't remember when! people support companies like las palmas or they won't be able to stay in business anymore. if this place to close, where in new tampa could we get such a delicious Cuban sandwich as well as other joys? I want to come here more often. it is too hot to cook, the prices are great, and eating is plentiful and tasty! What else could anyone ask? taste them las palmas and they will become a lifelong customer!
I can't post a screen shot, but their website says order online because their phones don't work well. try to order online and there are only errors. if you look at other reviews, this location cannot open when you say it will. last review I saw them argue with a customer that they had a sign on. I'm sure the person went there because they claimed they were open as I just saw out of 2 sources. this place looks good, but it looks like they are trying to avoid business. answer to the owner: say what to your face? that they try to avoid business? that's clear. these hours were not only from google, they were their own website. they have already admitted to another reviewer a written sign is their preferred method for customers to learn their hours in the future. does that make sense for you?
been in tampa for over a month, and this is the best miami / Cuban style to eat them in all tampa. their restaurant had a fire and is rebuilt, so they come to show some support because they are not disappointed. crazy because I haven't had a Cuban meal since 1999, and when the owner asked me where it was, it turns out that he knows the places I had eaten in union city, new jersey, and his oncle has a place where I often visited bergenline. when they come, they will be satisfied!
Today I was working in the area and stopped by the food truck for a bite to eat. Hands down the best Cuban sandwich I've had in the area. If you see this truck eat here you won't be disappointed.
