After 15 years we decided to try the Gastronomic restaurant. The choice of 3 menus from €38 plus a la carte which we went for. Not cheap but very well prepared and it came hot. We blanched at the price of a bottle of St Emillion €1400 a bottle so settled for a very good Pic St Loup which was probably just as good. We had lobster which was very large and plenty of meat and we were given a bib to protect the clothes that's a first! The sweet was Ok but nothing to jump up and down.about. Overall the service was very attentive and whilst the total bill was larger than norm we felt that on a special celebration it was very good. Next time we will try the Bistro restaurant which appeared to offer an excellent menu and a little bit cheaper.

We were greeted and seated efficiently, the waiter rattled off the menu of the marches quickly in French, once he realized we were English speakers his attitude appeared to change somewhat to indifference bordering on hostile. Our first pick of wine was unavailable. Ok. The appetizer of langoustine salad had a good flavor and was fresh although slightly over cooked. The smoke trout appetizer was on the money though. Both the lamb chops and filet of sole were exceptional. Having to ask for the bill twice, and quite a wait from finishing our mains to being able to leave (well over 45 minutes) was a bit much. We skipped coffee and dessert........there are plenty of better alternatives in tarbes Centre ...l'1time for example

I found myself dining at L'Aragon quite by accident. I was traveling with a large group (26 people) and suddenly we had to shift our planned lunch to this restaurant. All I can say is that I'm glad we did! Our lunch here was fantastic. Both the food and the service were excellent. The atmosphere is wonderful as well. If you're passing this way, I recommend a detour to this restaurant. But make reservations, I heard them turning away walk ins. You'll be glad you did!

We have not been to L'Araon for a while, and we're not disappointed. We dined outside in 30+C in the terrace, but was shaded well and comfortable. Food was excellent, and very well presented, service was excellent and efficient. We just had the lunch time menu, with 4 choices of each course, simple but very nice. L'Aragon is worth a visit if you are in the area.
