La Veranda - Table reservation

This is an example of the greatest ignorance I have experienced in my life and also the greatest disappointment. I was hoping for a great evening, I booked a table, the staff assured me that if anything changed on their end they would call to let me know. At 6.25pm I turned up at the restaurant before my guests’ arrival. It turned out that I couldn't spend the evening at the table I had booked because there was an event taking place on the terrace... and believe me, the view from the terrace over the lake is something that definitely attracts you to this place. I was offered to dine inside (if I wanted this experience I would have asked for it myself) or to spend the evening in the other restaurant upstairs (the problem is that it's not the same place, not the same menu). The assurances of the staff that they would move the table and I would be able to enjoy the tasting menu in the new location it is not the same unfortunately, and nothing like the fine dining experience this place offers! To this day I do not understand why no one bothered to call to inform me that my reservation could not be fulfilled as originally intended. This almost ruined my evening. I would probably have been just as disappointed if I had been alone, but I didn't make the booking just for me. It was a business meeting. And even more so, I do not and will never understand the disrespect and ignorance that was served to me before I could assess the actual menu. I doubt that this place deserves any recognition from Michelin. I did not even hear a simple: sorry.

We had our birthday dinner here and it was aboslutely beautiful! The chef created a special moments menu just for us and we loved that. Unfortunately I didn't feel very well that evening and hence had issues with eating all the food. I hope the chef reads this because I felt so sorry to leave all these good food. I only could eat a few bites of the last 2 courses out of 5. The ambience of this restaurant is very beautiful, classic and high end. We had a nice table by the window. Everyone was very attentive and professional. They had a great selection of wine. Each dish of our special menu was absolutely dreamy and a perfect symbiosis of various flavors. Our dessert cake was also very delicious but it was SO big. We expected a small cake for 2 people, instead this huge thing came wich could at least feed 10 people : but we found it a sweet gesture and loved it anyway. At that point I felt quite sick unfortunately so we would let them bring it to the room to have it later. All in all this place was excellent from A-Z. We will definitely come again.

look at the other 1 star reviews and it will describe de experience.... tasteless, expensive and horrible service, nothing more to add really. That is a Perfecto and clear description.

The culinary experience was just a shame, but the service was ok , the staff was quite nice to us, the 360 view also (reminded me La Mirabelle at the Plendide Roma)…

Great wine, meal (fish in salt), and service at La Veranda. Were there earlier this week and loved our meal.
