La Trattoria - Table reservation

Also here we ended up by coincidence, we booked a room 15 kilometers from here, the local auberge was closed so we looked for something else. Walking through Pont-a-Mouson, most places didn't attract us at all. Then we noticed la Tratorria, and to be hones even with 2 rooms and many many places we where lucky we got a table..We had a very nice meal for a reasonable price in a very good ambiance. Those guys work like there is no tomorrow, the waiter in our part of the restaurant noticed everything everywhere and responded immediately, we where surprised he could keep this tempo, stay friendly, and put everything on the right table fast. What we tasted was great, what we saw being served on other tables looked great to. During our dinner at least 30 new guests arrived, so they must be doing something right :)

Be aware that most of the pasta dishes are cream based. Fine. As I'm lactose intolerant I discussed with the waitress that I'd have Caesar salad, minus dairy elements. That's chicken salad to you and me. When it came the chicken was that nasty, reconstituted, thinly sliced stuff. Confirmed again with waitress that all was lactose free. Part way in, waitress came back and announced the dressing had cream in it. New salad appeared, minus dressing and this time with real chicken. Pray tell me, what kitchen keeps chicken if not expecting to put in a chicken salad? I do not recommend at all. Even without the lactose fiasco.

We went to the nearby TGV station on 21st july to meet some friends at 12h40, so was essential to find somewhere close for lunch. The restaurant La Trattoria is convenient, they have a terrasse at the back , and we all had delicious pizzas, high quality fillings, and a very friendly service. The sun was hot that day, and we did not need to ask , 2 parasols were raised over the table in a second.Recommend strongly !!

We have reviewed this restaurant before and couldn't fault it, this time the food was excellent but we had our order taken and we watched everyone in the restaurant who arrived after us get their food before ours arrived. We had to ask three times where our food was, two simple two course meals. Maybe our order was lost but it was very odd.

Visited La Trattoria during a family trip. I ordered the Entrecote steak with roquefort sauce and it was massive and absolutely delicious. Try the plange board for something local. Strawberry tiramisu is excellent. Highly recommended.
