All the veg places in Foz were closed by the time we made it into town, so we ended up here, and it was not a disappointment. First, the explicitly vegan menu put to rest anxieties about ordering the wrong thing. The restaurant was very quiet on a Monday night, with soft lighting and we started with a gin and tonic (R$12). The waiter was helpful and accommodating. We ordered two spinach fettuccine dishes (both R$39): the Amatriciana, with tomato, garlic and chilli, and the funghi with portobello mushrooms. The tomato sauce was tasty and delicious, but the funghi was not that great. We decided to relax and get dessert, deciding we could fit in a serving of ice cream and fruit syrup (R$18) each. Little did we realise how big the servings were and I gasped when the waiter brought them over, but we made it through them anyway and both ice cream and syrup were excellent. An unexpectedly pleasant experience, and, while one of the dishes wasn’t great and prices weren’t low, I’ll give top marks because there are no half-stars.
