La Rastegue revisited 3rd time and again it was worth our 45 minutes drive; Warm welcome, lovely sun and view from the terrasse. Serving a set menu, the choice of dishes should please (nearly) all, but could perhaps be slightly more daring? The chef knows his business well; the St Pierre was perfectly cooked, i,.e. not overcooked giving a smooth texture. The duck breast ordered rosé (many non french would concidered it saignante as it arrived) was tender, tasty and also very tender). The corsican brebis and the chevre cheeses were excellent (the compte was also good, but we have tasted better). The devil is in the details and the chef proves his excellence in the creative vegetables accompaying the dishes: After all the praise that this place justly receives on TripAdvisor; we could only wish for some more daring varieties in the menu concept: The experience was great also this time but resembled very much our previous visits: So we shall definitely be back next year but maybe not next month.

The Rastegue is an absolutely superb restaurant where my partner and I recently passed a memorable evening, enjoying fantastic food while looking out towards the waters of the distant bay as the sun set. The menu is a starightforward set affair, although one that can be tailored to the dietary preferences of diners. The cooking is memorable and a hugely enjoyable interpretation of Provençal cuisine with the warmth and professionalism of the hospitality adding to making our visit an unforgettable one. It was surprising that such a small team could deliver such quality to the whole restaurant, although the too rare policy of having only one sitting at each table (allowing us to fully and relaxedly enjoy the meal, the wine, the view and the hospitality) no doubt helped. The Rastegue is one of those restaurants that makes the visit to a place memorable and it is a restaurant that I look forward to being able to return to when we are in this region again.

Top class restaurant, excellent food, wonderful service, lovely atmosphere. There is only one choice of set menu, no other options, which we were aware of before we went. The starter was swordfish tartare, which was incredible. The main was filet of John Dory with mashed potato and vegetables, again this was perfectly cooked and a very generous portion of fish. Followed by a cheese course and then dessert, of which we had a choice of 3. As there were 3 of us we all chose a different dessert and shared, once again they were all amazing. Highly recommend the restaurant. We will definitely come back when we are next in the area. Thank you Jerome and Patricia for a fabulous experience.

I really liked this place. Lovely setting and people giving exceptional service of delicious Michelin-quality food at a reasonable price. I was a little disappointed we didn’t get what I thought was going to be an enfant rate for our kids, but not that big of a deal. The desserts and amuse bouche were our best in France. And that’s saying something. The restaurant seems a little too nice for the village it sits in but that’s not their fault. Maybe it will bring it up a notch.
