Right on the harbour side in a row of competing restaurants, they have to be on their toes. I have noted that this one tends to fill up first, always a good sign. On busy days looks like booking essential. On such days the service...can sometimes not be of the fastest although the staff are working flat out, they seem to have perhaps economised one man too many. Best to forget that and take the time it takes, for the cooking is excellent. Plain grilled fish and mussel dishes obviously, but especially the mixed fish dishes with Catalan influence, like Suquet, Zarzuela and All Cramat. Don't worry if you don't know the names the contents are listed in the menu, basically all different ways of presenting a mixture of different fishes and seafood in the one plate.
The host was very welcoming and friendly. There were only menus in French which was ok for us but might be an issue for some. We were three people and we each got one of the fresh catch of the day choices. The swordfish and...sole were a bit greasy, the tuna was a bit dry, The fries were great, these need to be ordered extra. The veggies were overcooked. For three with no appetizers, deserts or alcohol, the total was 70 euros. We would not visit again.
My family and I ate at this restaurant for dinner on a beautiful warm evening. If you are looking for mussels then you will not find a better value place to eat them. The biggest surprise was the children's menu as it also had a...huge bowl of mussels on it. Adult bowl €9 and kids €7 so unbelievable value. Squid rings were a little disappointing And very thin Entrecôte steak but local rose wine was lovely and very good value.
great lunch, good price, very tasty fresh fish, wonderfully presented by friendly staff. had a very good red mullet salad, beautifully presented, and then a whole sea bas with fresh vegetables, aoili, beautiful! would definitely recommend and grateful we do not live too far away. so we become again! very popular what all says. thanks to all employees
