After walking round Montignac on a Sunday afternoon looking for some food we stumbled across this place with a queue out of the door. All the other eateries were serving drinks and ice cream. A French tradition on a Sunday it would appear. I was immediately impressed by the traditional wood fired pizza oven and the speed of the service. We ordered and were told to come back in 40 minutes so we went to a bar and listened to some Jazz! We then returned and had to wait a little longer but the lady serving apologised and we weren't in any rush so this was fine. We ordered two pizzas, a burger and a Thai chicken burger which we then took to eat down by the river. The pizzas were really good, full of flavour with thin crispy bases in the traditional Italian style, the flavour had benefitted from the wood fire too. The burgers and fries were also very good and we all finished the lot no problem! The price was reasonable too by French standards in a tourist town so no complaints there. They also give you little sachets of chilly oil for the pizzas but be careful its hot!
