Not at all as good as our visit four years ago. Welcome was pleasant enough but service overall was rather amateurish and clumsy e.g. they had no idea who had ordered which dish and struggled to put the right dish in front of the right...person even after we told them. Food was average. I ordered salmon as a main which was bland. Others chips were soggy and their steak was tough. The starter charcuterie plate was good. What will prevent us going back was the absurd price of the wine. The wine list had no house wine so we asked and were told they sold a local red and a local white and we ordered those. Admittedly we didn't ask the price as we assumed a local wine would be reasonable. It turned out the white was Euros and the red was around Euros per bottle. Having been abused in this way we will not return when we are next in Val.

It seems someone else took over the restaurant. If the view is still amazing and the staff friendly, the food is nowhere what it used to be. euro for an omelette Almost for a “risotto” normal rice swimming in a glue of...sauce And all the rest of the menu is like that euro with a couple of glass of wine. Sorry but that’s stupid expensive and not good... i ll still have my memories of the last years

I’d been wanting to try this place all week waited until today, sunny, to make the most of the great cosy looking terrace. What a deception : the chips were burned, the burger very small very dry no sauce, the veal without...taste... The goat’s cheese salad was ok as was the risotto, but for for The worst most expensive meal we’ve had all week. The service is quick friendly.

Spent our first evening here and while it was pleasant – we found it to be overpriced. Must say the service was excellent. Beautiful historic chalet – worth trying once if it is in your budget.
