La Cuisine au Planet

We had a table in the front garden, nicely flowered and quiet. We had for starters the verrine d'avocat/crevettes, fingers de chevre and the crème brulee de foie gras, all delicious. For mains, we had the pave de noix d'agneau and the punta de lomo de cochon, both cooked to perfection. Everything was so delicious we didn't have much room for dessert. We decided to share the coulant de chocolat noir, soooo good !! The service was discret but efficient. Overall, a fantastic experience.

We enjoyed the relaxed provencal slightly back street residential atmosphere and the quality of the food, matched with friendly smiling and knowledgeable staff who were the perfect mix of patient and punctual. Like most places in France, you need to move away from the church, the town square, the mairie and the tabac and find the authentic, regional, hard working and consistent kitchen. This is one of them.

This restaurant was recommended to us. It's stuck down in the old village but just off the main road. The gentleman who served us was friendly and gave us names of wineries to visit. The food was very good, my favourite was the duck breast, very tasty. I love the bread in France and Au Planet does it really well. The bill was as we expected from a restaurant of this quality, but was very fair.
