Having passed a good many places that did not seem anything special, the feel as we walked up to la cantine de marius seemed a little different. The tables outside were neat and clean but unpretentious and the menu was short and sweet. The dishes we had were out of this world and priced very reasonably. The service, from Amber our waitress, was polite and welcoming. She explained all the dishes for us. I chose the veal ragu which was exceptionally tasty. The prices were very fair. We returned the following night ( the second of our two night stay in Saint Germain). Now recognised as 'regulars' we were given a great welcome by the front of house team. I can recommend the Brioche with pear for pudding. Simply gorgeous. A great restaurant and the chef is definitely a bit of a genius.
