A limited menu and a blanquette of veal as the dish of the day convinced us. A quick glance at the “restaurant” website confirms REAL work in the kitchen: “Our menu is established according to the season and local products. We only work with fresh, quality products, most frequently from our region and surrounding areas. All dishes are homemade, with the greatest respect for the products, which guarantees exceptional quality. » it could hardly be clearer! . We choose three “steak tartare with a knife”: here again, the preparation suggests that it is a piece of beef prepared on request in the kitchen We are served: A sous vide tartare easily recognizable by the viscous juice of the blood kept under vacuum, accompanied by potatoes saturated with oil probably frozen, tasteless and a salad which seemed fresh to me ? , copiously sprinkled with an industrial sauce. My wife only eats half, my 12 year old daughter eats it all and I just taste and eat nothing. Four hours later, my daughter writhed in pain and lay down. She ended up throwing up everything: the steak tartare was intact. The website is shamefully misleading and the menu is deliberately misleading. When will there be a ban on affixing the name “Restaurant” to brands that simply assemble flavorless frozen or vacuum-packed industrial food? A great welcome, excellent cuisine (the chef was alone in the kitchen), very professional staff who care about their customers, all in a very friendly setting surrounded by the Alpilles.
