"A quiet midweek evening was had here. Our waiter was polite and fast. The food was delicious and served quickly. Even when more people turned up later in the evening, we could have a normal conversation. Free parking downstairs. What's not to like. Peter Chaser recommends this, B-."

Went last Saturday night 25th March for a combined birthday celebration for my son and myself. We were running a bit late but called them to advise them of this and that was fine. We got a nice table for four by the window. We were on a Groupon Deal. More about that later. The food was really nice, but the service let the restaurant down badly. There were only two wait staff for a full restaurant many of which I think were on Groupon Deals as were we, and they clearly could not cope. We had to ask for water and asked for wine glasses twice which did not come so I went across to where they were and got them myself. We also had to ask for the fourth main dish to be served. The table behind us was lett uncleared despite both waitstaff walking past it several times empty handed. The Groupon deal we were on included Baklava for dessert, which we had to ask for and for which they tried to charge us. We did not pay. I would have thought management would advise their staff what is and what is not covered on their Groupon Deals The pieces of baklava were nice but could not have been any smaller. Would we visit again? Yes we would as I believe everyone deserves a second chance.

Visited for the first time last night on a Groupon voucher for two family birthdays. The place was full, but only two waitstaff. We had to ask twice for wine glasses and eventually got them ourselves from the dresser behind the desk. Also had to ask for water. Had to ask for our fourth main, which eventually came out. Finally, there was a debate over whether the dessert was included in the deal. On the other hand, the food was superb! It couldn't be faulted. Every restaurant deserves another chance, so as to make sure it was a "one off" we will try again on a week night, rather than a Saturday.

Food was authentic Lebanese, athmosphere of the restaurant good, but tables very close to another so that it can be hard to understand the conversation. Portion size on the smaller side for upmarket prices you can expect at Hornsby. Altogether worth to go for someone who likes Lebanese food as there are not many restaurant options for that anyway.

I honestly wouldn't care if the restaurant staff punched me in the face for no reason, because the food is seriously just that good. Out of all the Lebanese food I've had, I can definitively state that this is the best. Yes, they don't have beer, yes the ambience is a bit meh, but we still go back because of the damn delicious food.
