"Actually, I don't know what I expected. they serve the domestic type of food, but must mean the less salt, less flavored and quite bland food. the fact that they don't use a bevel or garlic, didn't even bother me, I'm completely okay with it. but must it be so bland? fliter coffee was very good."

Good food, but disappointed by page size. We ordered three items 1) Sambhar vada had not enough Sambhar after the first Vada 2) Masala rava dosa had not enough Chutney, had to ask for additional Chutney twice and had to adapt to the dosa 3) Parotta korma I was finished with the corma with only the first Parotta, had to have the second so without any corma. While the food is quite delicious, this stinginess with portions basically ruins the whole experience.

Very simple, clean restaurant with excellent vegetarian South Indian cuisine. Most foods are vegan, but the menu does not show which. We have Idli (damped rice cake), Masala dosa, Onions rava masala dosa, vada. These dishes come with Sambhar and Chutney (both vegan). The pongal has Ghee (butter) so NOT vegan. I'm not sure how helpful the employees are, as we already knew what to get. They only serve coffee with milk.

This place must be one of the best South Indian restaurants in the Bay Area. We have the thali(meals), Masala Dose, Idly Vade Sambhar and filter coffee. Every single article was amazing. The Thali is quite full and gives you the house boiled feeling. I was also very surprised how soft the Idly was. Her Sambhar and Chutney are also from this world.

The food is excellent and they have good variety throughout the week. However, this is the second time that the food ordered by the door bag on Sunday is not 32 ounces. I can understand when this happens, but this seems like a way to treat customers badly. Why do you have to advertise 32 ounces and then deliver 25 ounces?
