The place was recommended by our local colleagues to taste some typical Bavarian cuisine and it was really nice. The restaurant/brewery is huge, the night we went it was packed but the service was fast and sharp. I chose roasted deboned pork shank with potato-pickled gherkins salad, and it was delicious, and some really nice local beer to go along with it. My colleagues had different meals but everything looked very tasty. The portions were huge and the value for money great.

Went for lunch on a rainy midweek day in May. The place was full of locals, mostly retirees. Had this really 'authentic ' old German feel one might look for on a visit to Regensburg. The food is not fancy gourmet, but it tastes quite good, comes quickly and in large portions, and is what you 'd want from a beer tavern. If you are looking to get away from families and tour groups and have a hearty meal with good beer with local people, this is a very good choice.

An absolute gem of a place. Despite an indifferent start with the waiter (there was only one, he worked **** hard) we soon became form chums, he was delightful and friendly, despite our lack of common language, and he was justly rewarded. Great pork shoulder with crispy skin, fantastic dumpling all washed down with local pils. A great evening meal. Visit, be amazed.
